Scenario: Design and build an eCommerce website for online sales
Business: Imperial Teas and Coffee of Lincoln; an independent, local business, supplying exciting and unusual blends of tea and coffee from all corners of the world.
Challenge: To design a simple to use website full of functionality for a local SME to break into the eCommerce market.
Solution: ACT designed, developed and hosted the entire eCommerce site, which consisted of:
- Design and layout to client requirements
- Easily navigated category, products and shopping basket system
- Search functionality − allows customers to search for a product by various attributes
- Register/Login/My Account − Customers are able to review their personal information, track open orders, subscribe to newsletters and save various addresses for delivery
- Reviews − customers are able to write reviews for products
- The client is provided with Admin access allowing the shop status to be viewed from anywhere
- Nominated administrators are able to Add/edit/remove products and categories, View any new orders, Process Orders, Approve or edit any submitted reviews, Check stock status plus much more
